Gul e kand is a mixture of Kashmiri roses (light pink in colour) and sugar. It is made by mixing 3 cups of sugar and one cup of rose petals and kept in a closed vessel for about a month .When it is ready it is stored in glass jars. After storing it can be used for years and can be mixed with kehwa or firni to add flavor to them. It has medicinal values as well, it aids digestion and helps in providing a considerable relief from cold.
