Sonchal (Mallow): This perennial plant is an untapped species greatly relished by locals of Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Its antioxidant activity is comparable to that of spinach. An antibacterial and antifungal, it is a good source of omega fatty acids, calcium and potassium.
